Known as the Medicine or Healing Buddha, Bhaisajyaguru is said to disperse spiritual medicine. In his left hand, Bhaisajyaguru holds a medicine bowl filled with the healing elixir that transforms all ills. His right hand lies on his lap in medicine mudra.
Tibetan Buddhists use assorted figurines and images of bodhisattvas as a way to obtain enlightenment. Each of the deities represents different aspects of the Buddha and his teachings. They are used as an aid for meditation or function as a protection.
Each figurine measures 1.5 inches tall and has been finely crafted from Turquoise powder and finished with black antiquing.
